Who are we?
PolyFluent Inc is a non-profit organization established in the Northern Kentucky region that offers a broad choice of foreign language classes for young children in the community. We also have various educational opportunities for learning a second or subsequent language. We are committed to creating rich cross-cultural experiences for kids that will enrich their values, perceptions and skills from a young age, which will lay the foundation for their future global mindsets.
We offer various language options to choose from based on the needs and interests in the local community.
Our classes are formed in small groups of children with similar age and knowledge level for an optimum language learning experience.
Why Learn A New Language?
There are numerous advantages for children to learn a new language, and the younger they start the better. However, it’s never too late to learn something new, so we are happy to assist regardless of the age of your child.
Recent research on this topic finds that bilingual and multilingual children show increased brain activity, with skills like problem-solving and critical thinking over their monolingual counterparts. (See credits further below). Some added benefits of a polyglot are improved listening skills, enriched vocabulary, enhanced memory and concentration, and better multitasking skills. And all that translates to higher academic achievements, confidence and boosted self-esteem.
Subsequently, being exposed to different cultures can naturally broaden young learners’ horizons and help them become more culturally sensitive and tolerant, make them more emotionally intelligent and help develop unique social skills.
Later in life, the ability to speak and communicate in another language could open more professional doors and play a key role in job search, career advancement, and growth opportunities.
